Born in Batumi, Georgia, Irakli Kakhidze began his musical journey at age 17, training at the Batumi Conservatory under Marina Jakhutashvili before attending masterclasses with legendary baritones Leo Nucci and Ruggero Raimondi.
His international career spans the world's finest opera houses — from the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where he has been an ensemble member since 2017, to stages in Hong Kong, Seoul, Taiwan, Norway, Finland, Latvia, and France.
A winner of the Lado Atanéli Competition and finalist of the 2014 Paris Opera Awards, Irakli holds the Medal of Honour, the Commander of the Georgian Dignity Order, and is an Honorary Citizen of Batumi.
